Atlantic International Bank Limited
After previously providing years of international banking services under the International Department of Atlantic Bank Limited (ABL), ABL decided that it was time to create a separate Bank to provide banking services to only non-resident of Belize, thus Atlantic International Bank Limited (AIBL) was incorporated in November 2000 and subsequently obtained its Unrestricted "A" Class International Banking License from the Central Bank of Belize in December 2000. Our license permits us to offer international banking services to both personal and corporate clients who are non-residents of Belize.

AIBL is owned by both ABL and SONISA, the holding company of ABL based in Honduras. AIBL is presently capitalized by ABL and SONISA with a Paid Up Capital of US$3,000,000 and both entities are committed to provide additional capitalization as is necessary. AIBL is managed under a contractual agreement with ABL.

In January 2001 AIBL opened its head office located in Belize City and is now a major player in the International Banking Industry in Belize with offices now located in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and Placencia Village, Stann Creek, both of which are major tourist destinations.

AIBL is regulated and monitored by the Central Bank of Belize, the supervisory body for all Banks located in Belize who sets the standards for capital adequacy and liquidity requirements.

Client's funds are transferred freely into and out of Belize in US Dollars without the necessity of conversion to Belize Dollars. In addition, clients are also able to transfer funds out of Belize in any major foreign currency. All information on accounts held with AIBL is strictly confidential and is held in privacy.
