About AIBL
Atlantic International Bank Limited (AIBL) previously provided international banking services under the International Department of Atlantic Bank Limited (ABL). AIBL is now a separate Bank providing international banking services to non-residents of Belize since its incorporation in November 2000. Atlantic International Bank Limited (AIBL) has subsequently obtained its Unrestricted "A" Class International Banking License from the Central Bank of Belize in December 2000. Our license permits us to offer international banking services to both personal and corporate clients who are non-residents of Belize.
AIBL is owned by both ABL and Sociedad Nacional de Inversiones, S.A. (SONISA), the holding company of ABL based in Honduras. AIBL is managed under a contractual agreement with ABL.
In January 2001 AIBL opened its head office located in Belize City and is now a major player in the international banking industry in Belize with offices now located in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and Placencia Village in the Stann Creek District, both of which are major tourist destinations.
